Last night a tweet came through my twitterstream that grabbed my attention. It was sent by Ted Rheingold, the founder of dogster:
“Why doesn’t Apple’s MobileMe have social features? Apple gets A LOT right, but it’s as if they want to skip the social revolution“
This is definitely a thought-provoking question, and one you could easily imagine coming […]

A non-techie’s twitter opinion!
June 10th, 2008 · 1 Comment
Twitter is this like, thing! That people are using on the internet, and it’s like, totally cool! Buzz is that twitter is the next big thing, so I totally got an account like, last month. And I am so glad I did, because in a year or so, when everyone else is first hearing about […]

Apple’s WWDC, Steve Jobs Keynote, and a Whole Bunch of Crazy
June 9th, 2008 · No Comments
You’re not going to find any news breaking on this blog as the keynote unfolds and everybody goes crazy, but what I will say, quickly, as we all sit and wait for the speech is this:
Apple has built a stronger brand than has ever been created before.
Think about it. We all know what’s going to […]

Switchabit Just Pulled The Creepiest Shit That Has Ever Happened
June 4th, 2008 · 1 Comment
Edit 6/4/08 - Jay from the Switchabit team has again proven to be very helpful and the problems seem at this point to be very creepy indeed, but not Switchabit related. If Jay’s diagnosis (involving multiple IPs from my router) is correct, then their help has amounted to far more than content distribution hiccups. Still […]

Even More Excited for Switch-a-Bit
May 29th, 2008 · 1 Comment
Why?
Because yesterday a representative of the not-yet launched software provider contacted me admitting to a bug that messed up my tweets when I hadn’t even realized their software caused the problem.
Amazing customer service for a company that doesn’t even exist.

Think Twice Before Switching
May 21st, 2008 · 1 Comment
There’s even MOAR talk today about leaving Twitter for other services.
The point that you hear so often is that people don’t leave Twitter because of the community, rather than staying for its tool set.
So of course, people suggest a move to Pownce or Friendfeed (or Jaiku if they need a nice three-item list).
But the surprise […]

Twitter will be down for a two hour maintenance window tonight starting at midnight Pacific time.
May 19th, 2008 · No Comments
Twitter’s going to be down tonight.
This would usually really piss me off, but this time they’re telling us about it ahead of time.
Still not a perfect Twitter by any means, but at least they’re keeping the conversation open this time, so I urge everyone to be a bit, erm, polite this time around.

The internets: Serious business, and free of charge
May 17th, 2008 · No Comments
This is a debate that will reverberate ad nauseum on the internet until, of course, something is done about it.
A majority of internet users believe that the services and software they use on the internet should be entirely free of charge. We know this, but what we also know is that this argument […]

I’m Under Oath
April 4th, 2008 · No Comments
A self-imposed oath, that is, to not discuss anything related to Twitter or Adobe AIR applications for the remainder of the week. But Seesmic buying Twhirl is really huge news for people as obsessed with AIR microblogging as me.
So instead of blogging about it or offering my two cents, I ask you to check out all […]

Operation: “Bazz”
March 30th, 2008 · No Comments
I want to glue together two useful open source Adobe AIR applications.
The Spaz Twitter application and The Bee Wordpress/Flickr desktop app, to be specific.
I think gluing these tools together and working it in with something like FlickrFan would make for a really useful app.
Want to beat me to the punch and become an hero?
Here’s the […]
