The Bravo Network has brought me many joys- no kidding. Project Runway, Top Chef and Law and Order marathons could make up for many grievances, but even I am offended by the Real Housewives of franchise.

Coffee as blasphemy-
April 1st, 2009 · No Comments
Please imagine your parents’ outrage when you broke curfew, or got caught having sex, or they found pot in your drawers, or you failed a semester of college. Now please multiply it by a country, and make the source of the anger hanging out at a coffee shop. After school and with other women. This […]

Taxes, Twitter and Dinner
March 30th, 2009 · No Comments
Have I joined twitter? Of course! Did I pay my taxes yet? Just today! I talked about paying my taxes on twitter, which might officially be the most boring thing to update about. But I felt like I had to say something about it! Twitter was open in another tab, and turbo tax was eliciting […]

What Inclusion is Like
January 23rd, 2009 · No Comments
The political process is this venerated, admired and even envied here in the US. The democratic bragging rights are always ours somehow, and we’ve used them to start wars, rebuild nations, get what we want, and intimidate.
But I thought about it, and I feel like George Bush Jr has been president my whole life. Not […]
Gaffe-tastic

Sarah Palin is famous now. Much like Mike Huckabee, her candidacy has not only invigorated the religious right, it has also made a character out of the candidate. On youtube, someone is always watching something about Palin, whether it’s comedic or from a news source. And I think her existence is responsible for giving SNL […]

About Jezebel.com
September 16th, 2008 · 2 Comments
Jezebel is a feminist slanting blog about media, pop culture and celebrity. They foray into politics, the economy and literature as well. Their bias, voice and overall tone is aimed at shaming people into agreeing with their ideas and opinions; at least that’s my conclusion based on my year and a half close reading of […]

Netflix rulez
September 11th, 2008 · 2 Comments
Netflix has the best customer service model of almost any company I’ve dealt with. Why? You don’t have to talk to a single idiot. They do everything on the internet, and they trust you to be correct about your complaints. If you didn’t receive a movie they just send it to you again. It’s the […]
One word with “urban” inside it is not being used this election cycle-

While watching the RNC last week it struck me that republicans and democrats have neglected a demographic. They’ve mocked, harangued, claimed and divided the demographic/geographies of “Small Towns” and “Cosmopolitan Cities”. The republicans have decided to run with the whole small town values thing, and I guess the democrats have had the city thing down […]

Here is what I need: FALL
September 5th, 2008 · No Comments
It is September and only my second September of school-less-ness. I miss the anticipation of a whole new academic year, but I don’t miss the academic year. Every summer’s end, I anticipate fall; looking forward to cooler temperatures, better food and most importantly, the change in fashions. This year my summer clothes were horrible- I […]

Palin’ with Sarah
September 4th, 2008 · No Comments
I watched the RNC last night. I had to stop watching the RNC last night. Granted, I stopped after Sarah Palin’s speech, and the brief remarks from Senator Mccain. And while there have been rumors floating around the past few days about Palin’s experience, family life and even her selection as Mccain’s possible future Vice President, […]
