It’s not often I’m confronted with my “I’mtooyoungtofurnishmylivingspacethewayIwanttobecauseI’mpoor” lifestyle. But last night, I went to Ikea for the first time ever and it was really nice. My mother was looking for a computer desk and a little table for her kitchen and I was along for the ride, and mostly because I’d never been to an Ikea. Needless to say, I was pretty much flabbergasted when confronted with an endless warehouse of wares that I would totally put in my apartment!
I was impressed with Ikea for a lot of reasons- mostly because it was functional. My mom was flipping out over the shopping carts; “They turn on a dime!” They had one “showroom” that was entitled Living in 450 Sq Feet that I was very interested in, because I had just looked at an apartment that was 450 sq feet. I said no the apartment, but I would have said yes to Ikea’s apartment. The closets alone were worth cramming everything I owned into such a small space because who cares if your’re crammed if you’re crammed CUTELY?
I kept on being surprised by all the cool Ikea things. And I kept saying “someday I will furnish with this!” The kitchens were awe-inspiring; my mother and I felt kind of pathetic in our admiration.
SO when I win the lottery I know where I’m going.
