Whenever I visit my parents, I make sure to visit Target before returning to stupid target-less NYC.  I mean, targets exist here, but not in the wonderful, stocked, convenient glory of the suburbs.  Last weekend, my mom bought me this great lime/mustard green sweater dress with a drawstring.  I secretly suspect that my mom bought it for me because the dress was her favorite color.  BUT I can wear it over tees and in general it’s really cute.   The other best thing about Target, is their designer lines.  I own two things from two lines.

First, I was so excited when the Proenza Schouler line came out but I was so poor I couldn’t even afford it!  So I got a tank top.  Sigh, what an opportunity lost!  I bought a nice embroidered kelly green collared shirt from the Libertine line, too.  I wear it when I want to look rebelliously  professional.  But this August, another line is coming out and I already am planning my purchases. 

Richard Chai’s line for target is featured here and some of the stuff is really really nice.  That shirt under the long cardigan was my favorite piece.  I love cream!  And tucking shirts  in!  And the color of that skirt!  Hopefully I won’t be too poor to buy that shirt because I have a feeling if I owned that shirt I’d wear it every day.

While a lot is going on in this outfit, I think the skirt is really cute, and the shirt would look nice when paired with something else- like jeans.  But that skirt again, is an article of clothing that would get a lot of wear by me- probably with a bright colored tee shirt or tights and a turtleneck tucked in. 

Soooo I am starting to save up now.
