You’re not going to find any news breaking on this blog as the keynote unfolds and everybody goes crazy, but what I will say, quickly, as we all sit and wait for the speech is this:

Apple has built a stronger brand than has ever been created before.

Think about it.  We all know what’s going to be announced today.

A new telephone, some patches to the current OS, and maybe some other bullshit.

But if you head over to Summize - and in particular, my favorite viewer of the news, Twistori, you’ll see millions of people salivating and gossiping like has never happened before.

As of today, on this 100 degree day in New York City in the summer of 2008, Apple is the new Beatles.

But not even.  A megacorporation has more peope waiting with baited breath than any entertainer on the planet.

Me personally, I don’t give two shits about whatever gets announced this afternoon.  I’m just excited as hell to be a part of a worldwide realtime conversation.

Or at least a massive anglophonic realtime conversation, which is something I’ll address on a slower day.
