Gossip Girl has removed their full episodes feature from their website.  Everyone on the CW message boards is pretty pissed about it.  I wonder how these guys feel about it?

As someone with prior engagements on Monday nights, I’m livid.  All the episodes I watched were from the comfort of my bed, with my boyfriend’s laptop heating my lap.  Why in hell would the CW do this?  Most of all, WHAT A BAD IDEA!

I guess I’m not as upset as “livid” but I’m annoyed.  Gossip Girl wasn’t getting good ratings, but “the buzz” around this show was that:

“OMG everyone watches it online!”

Not anymore they don’t.  Well, at least not on itunes for a dollar or on cwtv.com where it helps the CW’s ratings.  We’ll watch downloaded torrents.  For free, without helping out those idiots over at the CW.  My wait time when I checked it last night was three days. 

Why would the CW ruin the “buzz” about online episodes?  And to the extreme opposite end of the spectrum- where episodes aren’t even available to BUY online.  Are they trying to boost traditional ratings?  Do their advertisers need more “real” viewers?  OMG I’m just trying to rationalize this awful decision, and act contemptuous so that I’m distracted from my sadness.
