My first home brew. A very standard APA.
I let it ferment way too long.
Also, it’s only on its third day of carbonating (so a few more are really needed), but already it’s oddly overcarbonated and overly flat tasting.
Paradox?
Still drinkable, if you like hilariously strong and plain APAs that taste like “beer and water that haven’t mixed,” according to Monika.

First, congrats on your first brew. I hope you’re already working on your second batch. Give your beer at least three weeks in the bottle to condition and then try it again. I think you’ll find it has improved quite a bit. So, just how long is “way too long” in the fermenter?
